Did you know: The Liesbeek River is named after a river in the Netherlands? It flows for approximately 9kms from Table Mountain to where it meets the Black river in Observatory. It is home to the Cape galaxias, an indigenous fresh water fish and plant species like the Wild Almond (Brabejum stellatifolium) and Wild Rosemary (Eriocephalus africanus).
Help the Spirit Community Foundation to provide the necessary support to preserve this precious and historic river through the work we do with Upper Liesbeek River Garden (ULRG).
