Dear readers,
How do you measure success in life?
For many the answer evolves around personal happiness, fulfilment, family life, financial security and personal and professional achievement. Nobody would disagree with any of these, but I wonder how many of you would answer to the question, “how do feel about just doing good”? My guess is that 100% of you would respond positively to this prompt.
The essence of the Spirit Foundation is captured in these three small yet powerful words, “just do good”. For the Spirit Foundation, this is what success looks and feels like. We all share this commitment to do the best we can in the areas of education, community and wildlife.
But as we have learnt for the past thirty-one years, success doesn’t come without investment, focus, commitment and hard work. All of these ingredients are blended into our work in the Spirit Foundation, and it is constantly gratifying to see the results achieved in all the areas we work in and programmes we support.
To achieve even greater future success the Spirit Foundation workshopped and adopted a new Modus Operandi from the second half of this year and I would expect fabulous outcomes as a result.
At this time of the year, I would like to extend my personal thanks to all who work in and for the Spirit Foundation for your inspirational achievements. My thanks go to our project partners who deliver programmes that actually make a difference in the classroom, sports field, community hall and in the bush, sometimes hidden from the glare of publicity.
None of what we achieve would be possible without the continued financial generosity of our donors and supporters and we thank you and salute you for the exceptional people, companies and institutions you represent.
