Feet 4 Fees

The huffs and puffs from runners, walkers and hikers alike could be heard all over historic Groot Constantia on Youth Day Friday morning 16 June as the Feet4Fees participants took to the trails.

This event would not have been possible with a village of volunteers and top-notch organisers. A heartfelt thank you to the following people who made the day possible:

To the Deputy Mayor of Cape Town, Alderman Eddie Andrews, for being our official event starter and sharing some inspirational words with the young and (slightly) older participants.

To Fluid Energy for bringing the “gees” at the start and finish of the route and for providing some snazzy beanies for the top 100 finishers.

Thank you to the Keller Williams Team Elect for the bringing energy onto the mountain with their fun water table, selfie frame and the donuts at the finish line. The sweet scent of pastry floating up the mountain definitely gave our participants the extra push they needed!

To the Spirit Education Foundation alumni who not only arrived at 6am on a public holiday, but could be heard cheering on our contestants from all over Groot Constantia!

Thank you to Melanie Boender from Running Wild and her family, for their efforts in route mapping, organising and everything in between.

To our SEF families who arrived to offer a helping hand at registration and overall event organization, we appreciate your efforts.

Finally, to the Mountain Goats, Speedy Runners, power walkers and hikers, thank you for your participation, feedback and braving the cold to support Feet4Fees 2023. Your donations have raised R20 000 for the Foundation.

We hope your calves recover in time for Feet4Fees 2024!
