Whilst Grey, Spirit, Jemu and Lilli learn to navigate summer months in the reserve, Wyntir and River seem intent on introducing Blizzy to all aspects of Care for Wild’s conservation programme. Blizzy and Pebble have grown up under the protection of their guards and see them as part of the crash. Witnessing the strong emotional connection between the rhinos and the guards proves the importance of having community members as part of the anti-poaching unit. Wyntir is taking her conservation ambassador duties very seriously and recently turned up at a Care for Wild soccer game to introduce Blizzy to the local community children. The conservation and preservation of protected areas cannot be achieved without community involvement and Wyntir is busy ensuring that the next generation of rhinos and children work together to ensure a sustainable future for all.
