A Mothers Day Celebration

On Saturday, 11 May, Spirit ECD’s Bonnie People Project was abuzz with joy and gratitude as they celebrated Mother’s Day in a unique and memorable way. The event honored the selfless mothers who play a vital role in the lives of their learners, recognizing their unwavering dedication and resilience in the face of adversity. The highlight of the day was a powerful presentation by Suzette and Diva Willemse from Trauma to Triumph, which shed light on the profound impact mothers have on their communities. The presentation was both moving and uplifting, inspiring the moms to continue their remarkable work. To make the day even more special, a thrilling lucky draw took place, where each mom went home with prizes generously sponsored by local businesses. These included vouchers, sparkling grape juice, and even a few brand-new handbags to brighten up their day. As the moms savored sweet and savory treats prepared in the Bonnie People kitchen, they were treated to a luxurious pampering session courtesy of Jacqui’s Helping Hands from Montagu. The team of skilled nail technicians provided manicures and pedicures, leaving the moms feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. The event was a testament to the power of community and the importance of celebrating the unsung heroes who make a lasting difference in the lives of others.
